Cancellation Policy
If the booking is cancelled by 6.00pm one day prior to arrival at the hotel – no charges will incur. If the booking is NOT cancelled one day prior to the commencement of stay the hotel does reserve the right to charge for the equivalent of one night's accommodation.If the booking is received by the hotel from a third party booking source you will need to contact the company who you have made the booking with to discuss the terms of your booking, cancellation and or refund.
Payment of Accounts
You are providing a credit card number as a guarantee only for the booking you have made. No payment is charged to the credit card number you have provided unless specifically requested at the time the booking is made.
Should no credit card be available at the time the booking is made, a 50 per cent deposit of the entire stay may be required to be sent to the hotel in advance to secure your booking, with the remainder being paid on arrival at the hotel.
We may require an additional bond payment up to $200.00 to cover any miscellaneous charges. This amount will be refunded on departure should hotel services not be used.
Guest Car Parking
Car parking is available at the Bay Plaza Hotel at NZ $15.00 per night. Car parks are limited and cannot be reserved at the time the booking is made.
Smoking Policy
The Bay Plaza Hotel public areas are smoke free.
Environmental and Social Sustainability Policy
Since March 2003, the Bay Plaza Hotel has made a commitment to conduct its business operation to contribute to the ideal of a clean and green New Zealand.
An environmental committee has been established which meets monthly to discuss and address the environmental awareness action plan.
The action plan addresses the following key performance indicators:
- To encourage and measure the progress of the hotel in obtaining the relevant Green Globe key performance areas such as waste minimisation, reuse and recycling along with energy efficiency including water, gas and electricity
- To review current suppliers. Evaluation of their products, services and business environmental policy to match our own or willingness to compromise with a friendly environmental policy similar to our own
- Responsible use of hazardous substances complying with our health and safety policy and safe storage of these chemicals
- Encouragement of walking and use of public transport by all staff during all aspects of their lives including to/from work
The Bay Plaza Hotel will display their environmental policy with other key policies in the hotel and the environmental action plan will be available upon request to any interested parties.
